Double Washing

I mentioned a girl doing double washing last blog. (You haven't click here) Her skin had red, breakouts, and was signed of sensitivity by the sun also the wrong skincare). This makes me want to talk about double washing.

We all know that proper cleansing is vital for healthy skin. However, in the "Double washing," the second cleansing would be most likely taking too much natural hydration and oil (NMF; Natural Moisturizing Factor) out from the skin. Also, the acid mantle acts as a barrier to bacteria, viruses, and other potential contaminants that might penetrate the skin. Now, you might guess why she broke out and sensitivity at the same time.

I usually recommend the milky cleanser. It's easy to stay on the skin while moving your fingers for 1 minute. Yes, 1 minute! It allows for combining all dirt and make-up. Most make-up should be gone without your skin drying out.

If you wear heavier eye make-up, point cleansing is essential, and always be gentle and don't rub too much. If you stretch the skin over time, you'll make wrinkles! I use organic olive oil to remove waterproof mascara soak with cotton, then use a gentle cleanser.

I have to admit that I used to double wash until I became an esthetician, and now I want to tell you, "STOP torturing your skin, please!"

Still, wearing a facemask gives us sweat, for sure. A face mask possibly gives micro-abrasion to your skin. So, your skin works so hard, and it deserves to be gentle care!

Stay safe and healthy!
