Getting to Know Your Skin

How much do you know about your skin? Even it's a part of our organ, it still seems like a stranger or getting out of control. Nowadays, we know some triggers and I want to point out the most popular ones.

Hormones are the leading cause of changes to your skin. If you know a little bit about how these changes occur, you will have an easier time maintaining your skin.

A week before your menstruation is coming, your skin tends to be oily. It's easy to get clogged pores and then breakouts. Make sure you exfoliate during this period. It helps to unclog your pores.

But DO NOT scrub when you've already had a pimple!

While your moon friend is staying, your skin tends to be dry and sensitive. Try to give your skin hydration and avoid trying new products. Your skin would show adverse reactions easily.

After your period week, your skin rejuvenates, and an excellent time to deeply exfoliate or try new products.

So, don't go crazy.

I know it's hard to figure out your skin condition based on a "hormonal cycle" if your menstration cycle is freaky as well as the journey of menopause. All about hormones: it affects mentally and physically. Awareness of your condition and focus on your self-care is the key.

Time to listen to your skin and be kind to yourself.
